Holding down Salt Lake tradition Accidente features members of Form of Rocket, New Transit Direction, & Red Bennies. Accidente is bass driven San Diego style punk-rock with frenetic guitars and highly animated and dramatic vocals. Original members Ben Dodds, on bass, and Peter Makowski, on vocals have seen the band through several line-up changes including Kevin Ivers, Sebastian Lizarzaburu, David Payne, & Josh Asher.
Harmon's Heart is the solo studio project of Exigent Records label head Jarom Bischoff (Loom, Worst Friends, & The Hifi Massacre). Comprised of a singer/songwriter style akin to Elliot Smith and recorded at Counterpoint studios with Terrance Halterman “Slippery Slopes” explores new territory for Exigent Records. Featuring Bischoff on a plethora of instruments as well as the talent of Beaux Underwood, Kim Pack, Ashlee House, & Halterman, co-producer of the album.
Loom has a truly original sound, not lacking in
intensity or passion. Influenced by aggressive indie-rock bands like At
the Drive In, Hot Cross, and Bear vs. Shark, Loom fuses mathy
musicianship with wailing vocals and a melodic catch that cant be denied.
Originally a 3 piece featuring Tyson Clegg on bass & vocals, Matt Wiley on guitar, and Chase Cluff on drums & vocals, Starvist continues the Provo hardcore tradition (Parallax, Hi Fi Massacre, etc.) adding their own brand of thrashy grindcore to the mix. Now with several regional tours under their belt the band seeks to break new ground adding members Carlos Ramirez, Matt Parkin and Trevor Espinoza without forsaking the sound of "Taker Mythology."
Worst Friends formed after drummer Jarom Bischoff left Loom on rocky terms in part due to his differences with guitar player Michael Cundick. Worst Friends reunites the two as a sarcastic power-duo. At heart Bischoff & Cundick have a knack for writing together and their awkward friendship only adds to the creative process. The duo recorded "Infinite Apology" with engineer Andy Patterson. Soon after Elliot Seacrist (God's Revolver, Parallax) joined these tech savvy musicians on bass, producing a new - and heavier - sound.
