Worst Friends is a duo:

—Mike Cundik on Guitar and Maelstroms
(LOOM…Jesus or Genome)

—Jarom Biscoff Drums and Hammers
(Harmon’s Heart, former…LOOM)

Worst Friends incorporate improvisation, new arrangements and looping to craft incredibly dynamic rock music. Not only in the songwriting but the arrangements as well. Bischoff offers a backbone to drive the improvisation that allows Cundik to craft haunting soundscapes that breathe throughout the thirty-minute-long release. The songs are paired with the duo’s vocals and gripping heartfelt lyrics perfect for the winters chill. This release maintains a vibrant nostalgia that should be familiar to those who grew up with rock music at the turn of the century.

In the summer of 2011 a small dedicated group of music enthusiasts created Crucial Fest.

The first ever festival of its kind in Salt Lake was pioneered by Jarom Biscoff, Thomas Kessinger and Jesse Cassar along with generous support from the community.
When all was said in done 60 acts performed over 5 days at various venues in Salt Lake. And for the first time in a long while Salt Lake City was ready to rock in full force.

Next year proves to be just as swelteringly great as last year, but for now you can simmer on some of last years fest caught on tape.
